Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the Establishment of the National Human Rights Centre of the Republic of Uzbekistan”

In order to create an effective mechanism for the protection of human rights and freedoms, greater cooperation with international and human rights organizations, improving the knowledge of workers in State institutions and the population on the issues of human rights, in accordance with the United Nations in support of democratization of human rights and governance:

In pursuance of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated from May 1, 2008 N UP-3994 "On Measures Devoted to the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights" and to create the necessary conditions for the effective functioning of national institutions of Uzbekistan on human rights the Cabinet of Ministers RESOLVES:
